Okecha Enock bio
Enock is the youngest of the talented Okecha brothers. He, like them, arrived at SMK when their father had no source of income (their mother had died of cancer). Director Rosemary offered to take the father and his sons in, giving the father a job as a security guard. Rosemary then proceeded to look after the boys as her own sons. Their father eventually abandoned the boys. Enock, now in Primary 6, shows tremendous talent as a musical and fine artist, following in the footsteps of Willy, Oscar and Brian. Like them, he is a good student and a very sweet human being.
Leku Ivan bio
Until a couple years ago, Ivan was a student at St. Mary Kevin Primary School. He has since gone on to live in Gulu in northern Uganda, where he has been able to continue his schooling and his passion for art. Ivan's work will surely be remembered by those who have attended CTT events in the past. For years he was, by far, the most prolific of our young artists. We feel lucky to feature any of his work this year; even thought he will no longer benefit directly from the sale of his work at the event, Ivan still wanted to be included.

Okecha Oscar bio
Oscar is 15 years old and is a CTT sponsored student in Senior 1. He is ranked 1st in his class for academic performance. Oscar came to SMK in 2008 while beginning Primary 2 with his father and his 4 brothers. His father was a security guard at SMK for short time before getting a job elsewhere (once his father left a few years ago, he never returned). Oscar’s mother died of cancer. Oscar is a well-rounded artist who enjoys painting, drawing, sculpting and crafting. In addition, he enjoys playing cards and playing the trumpet and saxophone in SMK’s Marching Band. He is a member of the "Five Stars" saxophone group. Oscar aspires to be an artist when he grows up. He enjoys painting things about Africa, landscapes, animals, and people. Oscar finds his subject matter from stories he is told, as well as photos in books or magazines. Oscar says he sees the picture in his mind before he starts painting or drawing. He always feels happy while painting and enjoys conversing with other artists in the art room. After he is done with a painting, he will stand back from it and study every detail of the painting until he feels okay about it.
